Ian Schrager's EDITION brand opened this hotel in 2019 at the western end of the Sunset Strip near Doheny Drive. A rooftop pool looks over the city, and a basement nightclub draws a late crowd. Interiors are minimal, with warm wood and plenty of greenery.

Nights on the Strip and the nearby music venues keep guests busy, and a barber who comes to the room spares them a trip out during the day. The visit is quiet and contained: a cape, a clean station by the window, and a finished cut in well under the time it takes to go down to the lobby and back.

The work comes from seventeen-plus years of practice, dual licenses in barbering and cosmetology across multiple states, and four barbershops of his own. Ben has cut for recording artists, NBA and NFL players and Supreme skaters, and he treats a first-time client with the same care. Expect fades blended without a visible line, tapers that grow out cleanly, line-ups drawn with a steady hand and beards shaped to the jaw. Straight hair, waves, curls and locs all get the same attention.
