The former Loews Santa Monica was transformed into the first U.S. Regent in decades. Its 167 rooms begin at about 720 square feet, and many face the ocean or pier. A Guerlain Wellness spa and Orla, a Michael Mina restaurant, are part of the property.

Large rooms leave ample space for a full grooming setup, which suits guests who would rather stay in. There is no salon to find and no waiting room. Ben comes up to the room, works neatly, and is gone before the next call time.

Ben Zweifel is licensed in both barbering and cosmetology, in more than one state, and has spent over seventeen years behind the chair. He has owned four barbershops, and his clients have included Kevin Gates, Lil Durk and Lil Baby. The menu is focused: men's short haircuts, beard trims and sculpting, line-ups, waves and head shaves. He works with every hair type and every background, which is exactly how he has always run his chair.

Regent Santa Monica Beach sits at 1700 Ocean Ave in Santa Monica, close to Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade and Palisades Park. Ben works across the neighborhood and nearby Venice, Brentwood and Marina del Rey, so moving from a hotel room to a home or a set later in the day is no trouble.
