The barber who comes to Fairmont Century Plaza
Ben Zweifel brings a full barbershop standard to rooms and suites at Fairmont Century Plaza, 24 hours a day.
Minoru Yamasaki designed the curved 1966 tower, which reopened in 2021 after a full restoration alongside two new residential towers. Rooms have private balconies facing the hills or the ocean side of the Westside. A spa and a large ballroom serve both leisure and convention guests.
The ballroom regularly hosts industry dinners and galas, and Century City's law firms and agencies sit right outside, so groomed-and-ready appointments are common requests. There is no salon to find and no waiting room. Ben comes up to the room, works neatly, and is gone before the next call time.
Private. Convenient. Always on time.
Ben holds licenses in barbering and cosmetology in multiple states. Before Los Angeles he built and ran four barbershops, and his chair has since followed entertainers on tour and onto television and music video sets. Rod Wave, Polo G and Lamar Odom are among the names who have sat with him. His specialty is the short cut done properly: skin fades, low and mid tapers, line-ups, 360 waves, beard sculpting and clean head shaves, on straight, wavy, curly and coily hair alike.
Fairmont Century Plaza sits at 2025 Avenue of the Stars in Century City, close to Westfield Century City, Avenue of the Stars and Rodeo Drive. Ben works across the neighborhood and nearby Beverly Hills, Westwood and Culver City, so moving from a hotel room to a home or a set later in the day is no trouble.
Send a text or make a call to 608-201-7717, any hour. Ben confirms the time, quotes the visit (from $150, $300 standard between 11am and 7pm, adjusted for distance and late hours) and is on his way.
